Hi Huskergal,
I just wanted to say that I liked your comments about the DREAM Act. It's also worth a note that due to NAFTA and US corn subsidies, a lot of Mexican farmers went broke because they couldn't compete with cheap US corn. That's when companies like Tyson began advertising for workers and bringing them across the border in vans... ...Anyway, nice work. Keep it up! It's not pleasant taking on some of these bigots.

May I ask why you have chosen a name for yourself that means "remember wrongly", save for a missing "-t" at the end in Danish and Norwegian? i.e. "Husker galt".

You do realize that it is not against the law to hold any other god before Yahweh, right? It is not against the law to create for yourself Idols. It is not against the law to use your god's name in vain. You are not required to hold the Sabbath as holy. Honoring your father and mother is not required by law. Adultery is not a criminal offense. Coveting your neighbor's wife or goods is not against the law. The laws against murder, theft and bearing false witness which we do find in the ten commandments have been offenses since before the 10 commandments.

Thanks huskergal for your response. I totally agree that God gives us each the opportunity to make choices and it is up to each of us to make our own choices, right or wrong.

I base my understanding shared with you in previous comment on the following scripture, Jesus Christ speaking:

Matthew 5:18-19
18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I know Jesus Christ's death on the cross fulfilled certain statutes, i.e., blood sacrifices once and for all, but many, including the entire law, is still in place and will not be fulfilled until His return. I do know sin is sin and without God's mercy and grace through His only begotten Son, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, none of us could meet the requirements of the law because to break one, you might as well break all. Hence, John 3:16-18, therefore, I do not attempt to pluck the splinter out of my brother's eye, when I have a plank in my own. Sincere Repentance (change of heart/mind) for sin and God's forgiveness is what we all are being offered and that is a choice we all have the opportunity to make if we choose to do so.

I disagree with your interpretation but that is fine because we both know God is judge, He is fair, and He knows the heart/mind of all, so we'll leave this in His very capable hands.

Hi huskergal, I am totally confused by your comment "homosexuality as we know it today" What does it mean when you say this?

My understanding is that God has known about homosexuality from the beginning, I believe it occurred with Adam and satan in the Garden when satan beguiled (holy seduced) both Adam and Eve. God sees it as abomination and warned us not to partake of such perverted acts so how else is there to know it?

I don't see how you take forcing a sex act (raping) and tie it into commiting a perverted act as in man having sex with another man or woman having sex with another woman which is in this day consented to in most cases (gay/lesbian relationships). I know if a man/woman forced themselves on a male child or female child or another adult person it could be rape, perverted or both, but they are two distinct actions and God treats them as such in His word.

Thanks for your referral to the Jewish Study Bible, not sure if it will help me, but will leave it open to consideration for now. I've found that it is helpful to be able to check meanings of words from the original text/manuscripts and have found a standard KJV Companion Bible allows this with the use of a Strong's Concordance which also helps to stay with the subject/object of what is being discussed otherwise we can be all over the place and stray away from the truth.

You also commented on organic (Kosher) foods. Kosher foods are not organic. Kosher Laws were made by man and passed down from generation to generation.

In Mark 7, Jesus did away with traditions. Wrongful traditions, traditions that lead away from God. In doing so, he wiped away the Kosher laws, but he did not wipe away God's command on what you can and cannot eat. They are as true today and they day God handed them down; except now we know how to cook them so we won't get sick or have an allergy attack and die from eating them.

Moreover, God gave us choice. Yes everything leads back to Deuteronomy 30.
It is up to each individual to make his/her own choice. Want to eat pork? go ahead but it is forbidden. Want to cry out again gays? Go ahead. Just remember it is your choice.

Your know the scripture "Do not judge or you shall be judged and in like manner and with the same measure. I would be very careful if I were you for you never know when Judgment day is coming and god will Judge you.

I again than you for coming to me in private. I hope that we both learn something from this experience. As you see, I am still reading your words.

On Leviticus 20:13 and Leviticus 18:22 the historical explanation taken from the Jewish Study Bible is:

Biblical and ancient Near eastern culture was not familiar with homosexuality in the sense of a defined sexual orientation or lifestyle. It acknowledges only the occasional act of male anal intercourse, usually as an act of force associated with humiliation, revenge or subjection.

The biblical examples are Genesis 19:4-5:

They had not yet lain down, when the townspeople, the men of Sodom, young and old - all the people to the last man - gathered about the house. And they shouted to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may be intimate with them.

and Judges 19:22:

While they were enjoying themselves, the men of the town , a depraved lot, had gathered about the house and were pounding on the door, They called out to the aged owner of the house,"Bring out the man who has come into your house, so that we can be intimate with him.

Now do you see that the scripture is talking about forced sex, rape, pedophila, and male anal intercourse to humiliate, subjection, and/or revenge? I hope so for your sake. As what I just said comes from the Old Testament, the Book that Jesus taught from, I do not think that Jesus will tell you that this is wrong.
